Snapware Review and GIVEAWAY: 14 piece Airtight Food Storage Container Set

Image
Well, here I am again with another Snapware review.  I'm telling you, I love them. If they wanna get married, I'm down. ;) Today I am going to tell you guys about the Snapware 14 Piece Airtight Food Storage Set.  These were really needed around my house. We ALWAYS have leftovers, and if no one can find a matching bowl and lid, then, well, they just get thrown away. I have been getting so frustrated at the amount of food we have been wasting, so these were perfect for us!  What Mama Thinks:  These storage containers were really helpful! I love the fact that they can all be stacked inside each other to save space! They also have made it really easy to find the right lids. Each lid has a design on it that matches the base. For example, if the lid you are using has 4 squares, you just look for the base with 4 squares and match them right up. As a mommy, I of course like the fact that they are BPA free. They also snap down on all 4 sides, which makes for a very t...

Review and GIVEAWAY: Snapware 10 Piece AirTight Canister Set

Image
As, you guys know, I have an organizing obession.  Snapware came through for me once again to help me out with that! This time, I got to review the Snapware 10 Piece Airtight Canister Set.  I really needed this set. All my stuff has been in mismatched canisters and containers since, well, forever.  But not anymore! What Mama Thinks:  This is a great set! There is one large canister with lid, two medium canisters with lids, and two small canisters with lids. You also get three bonus measuring cups with this set: a 1/4 cup scoop, a 1/3 cup scoop, and a 1/2 cup scoop. I really liked the versatility of these canisters, you can put anything in them! These are especially handy in our house for storing cereal, since it seems like it goes stale after the first time you open the box. That also helps Tater with being able to fix his own cereal from the counter, instead of the big box on the top shelf of the cabinets! These canisters are refrigerator and freezer safe, b...

Review and GIVEAWAY: Snapware Cookie & Cupcake Carrier

Image
Organizing products are probably one of the biggest weaknesses that I have. I love the idea of getting everything all nice and organized and together! (Not to say that I actually have everything all nice, and organized and together, but....it's the thought that counts, right?) So when I got the opportunity to work with Snapware, I wanted to kiss their face! They are a company after my own heart!  The first product I got to review was the Snapware Snap N' Stack Two Layer Cupcake and Cookie Carrier. I have been wanting a product like this for a long time!  What Mama Thinks:  I love this thing! You can fit 24 cupcakes in it, and even more cookies! There are two trays, and each one is reversible. The cupcake side has little circles made into it to sit your cupcakes in, and the other side is just the plain tray to stack your cookies in. You can even fit a quarter sheet cake inside! The carrier is top rack dishwasher safe, microwave safe and freezer safe! I really lik...

Thinkbaby Bottles Review

Image
Let me tell you ladies, if anybody can review bottles, it's me.  This fat little baby of mine, shew. He likes to eat.  A bottle connoisseur, if you will. So when I had the opportunity to review for Thinkbaby Bottles, I was very excited about it! Thinkbaby specializes in making bottles and baby products that are safer, and non toxic. All of their products are BPA free, phthalate free, lead free, nitrosamine free, pvc free, and free of any and all toxic chemicals.  I am not sure whether it was just the fact that I was so damn young when Tater was born, but I never paid attention to any of that stuff.  I didn't worry about if his bottles were safe, or what was in them, or anything like that. But, now, with the Bean, I guess I am just so much more aware .  What Mama Thinks:  We got to review the Thinkbaby 9 oz bottles. They are really nice! I was first of all impressed with the way they look. They are just very modern, very cool. The nipples on the bo...

Gruene Steam Cleaner Review- Freakin' Awesome!

Image
Okay, I know I've said it before, over and over, but really, I don't think I have ever been as excited for a review as I was for this one.  I have wanted a Steam Mop for, well, forever, but I am a)too cheap, and b) too skeptical to buy one. So, when I got the chance to review a Gruene Steam Cleaner, ahhh... Bliss!  My Gruene Steam Mop Cleaner arrived super fast, and in perfect condition.  Upon opening it, I was a bit nervous, as I usually am, about putting it together. I am always afraid I am going to break something when I try to assemble it myself.  But, I am happy to report it was super easy. Pretty much there are three pieces that just kind of snap together. Easy Peasey!  Now, one of my favorite things about the Gruene Steam Cleaner is that you can use any household terry or microfiber pad with it. You don't have to buy any special kind of "steam cleaner" pad, whatever you have around the house will work. I hate buying a mop, only to have to buy spec...

Review: Black Makeup Washcloths from Turkish Towel Company

Image
Here's another one of those ideas that is so great, and so simple, that you don't know why it wasn't thought of sooner!  These are black makeup washcloths from The Turkish Towel Company . They are designed to keep you from ruining all your washcloths with makeup stains. I have this problem all the time, especially since I was so very smart and bought all white washcloths for our bathroom. Now they are all stained with eyeliner, mascara, you know, all that funky girl junk that we use. :)  What Mama Thinks:  I think these are a great idea! I can finally go get some new washcloths now and stop worrying about ruining them with makeup stains. Plus, these towels are sooooo soft! They don't stratch my face like my typical Walmart washcloths! :)  Turkish Towel Company is pretty much the standard in fine towels. All of their products are made in Turkey, in a town that is the world's largest center for woven terry products. Their towels are inspected three different time...

Review: Funkibanz Kids Crocs Shoe Accessories

Image
Funkibanz are a new accessory for kids to personalize their Crocs. They are super cute and affordable!  Funkibanz are easily attached to your child's Crocs, onto the back strap. They come in different styles for boys and girls.  We received a set of camo Funkibanz for Tater to try.  What Mama Thinks:  Well, since our sweet little potcake dog ate Tater's Crocs, we couldn't try them out on his shoes. But, Funkibanz can also be used as wristbands. You just take the little neon coil ring that comes with them, and they can be worn as wristbands. Tater absolutely loved them when we turned them into (what else?) Call of Duty bracelets!! He wore them to school and he said all his friends wanted to try them. So, now you know that they are a hit with the preschool crowd! I love the fact that Funkibanz are washable, and that even though they look stretched when you take them off, they go right back to their original shape in about an hour!  Thanks Funkibanz for...

What is Movie Tavern? Movie Tavern is an awesome concept that combines first run movies with an in theater dining experience. It really is the ultimate "dinner and a movie!"  What Mama Thinks:  We had the opportunity to go see a movie at Movie Tavern recently. I was very impressed with the Lexington, Kentucky location. The tickets for the movies are very affordable. We went to a matinee showing and our tickets were only $5.00! And Movie Tavern has all the first run movies, so you can see w...

Book Review: Raising The Dead by Chauncey Crandall

Image
I recently had the chance to review a very interesting book by Dr. Chauncey Crandall. The book, called "Raising The Dead", chronicles his experiences in medicine involving the supernatural. The book tells of his late son's struggle with Leukemia and how that loss brought him closer to God. It also explains how that Faith in God helped him to deal with traumatic experiences he was brought to face in the medical field. He tells about an experience he had when a patient came in that had suffered a massive heart attack. The patient was declared dead. The nurse began filling out the final report on the man, when Dr. Crandall says that he was hit with the overwhelming need to pray for the man. Then he directed the nurse to use the defibrillator to shock the man a final time. The nurse finally agreed, and it worked. The man came back to life and is alive and well today. That is just one of the stories chronicled in this amazing book! "Raising The Dead" is avail...
