Family Fun Day At Gattitown Lexington! Plus #GIVEAWAY! (CLOSED) #Lexington #Kentucky #TravelBlogger #FamilyFun #MomLife #PR #Review

**This giveaway is now closed, congrats to entry #65, Ashley S for winning 4 free buffet passes to Gattitown!**

Our family loves Gattitown! I've mentioned it before, but it really is one of our favorite places to go for some family fun, especially when the days are cold or rainy. One of the best parts for us is going during during the day, right after they open- you pretty much have the whole place to yourself! (Mad perks for bein' homeschoolers, yo!) Last week, we got the chance to go hang out at Gattitown again and we had a great time, as usual!

Gattitown has been undergoing some remodeling and renovating lately, and things are lookin' great! The Gatti Cafe area (near the salad bar) has already been remodeled, and it looks fabulous! The sports area and the FunFlix area are both getting remodels too in the near future, so they will be lookin' snazzy real soon as well! We absolutely love Gattitown because there are so many food options, and with picky eaters, that is a great thing! My boys all filled up on pizza, pasta and yummy desserts, and I had a great salad with all the fixins! Love it!

After we were done, we headed on over to the newly remodeled game room to get our play on! We had so much fun! The boys, as usual, had so much fun playing video games, and I, as usual, had to beg someone to play air hockey and skeeball with me! LOL, oh the life of mom! Anyways, since Gattitown's game room remodel, there is so much room in there, it seems so spacious! Plus, the new carpet is so cushy, it's like walking on a cloud!

Ahhh, we had such a good day! The boys were wiped out, and fell asleep right after we got in the car, they were too tired to even open their prizes that they got with all of their hard earned tickets! If you are looking for a great way to spend a day with your family, head on over to Gattitown! They are right off of New Circle Road, on Nicholasville Road, and you can have a day full of family fun without breaking the bank or braving the cold!

To celebrate Gattitown's wonderful new remodel, and our overall love for them in general, we're giving away FOUR FREE BUFFET PASSES!!   Yay!!! Enter below on the Rafflecopter! Review: Learn With Me Color Fun Fish Bowl from The Learning Journey! #Education #Homeschool #MomLife #Review #Blogger

Disclosure: We received a sample product in order to facilitate this review. All opinions are 100 percent my own.

I would never have imagined how much of a hard time I would have with homeschooling PreK for my 3 year old. I have seriously had such a hard time figuring out what I should teach him, and trying to find fun and educational things for him to do. I have a hard time finding a balance between fun and learning, and sometimes I feel like I am doing all "play" or all "educational" stuff, with no in between. So, whenever I get the chance to check out a product that might help me combine the two, I jump at the chance.

This time around, we got to review the Learn With Me Color Fun Fish Bowl from The Learning Journey. The Learning Journey is one of my favorite companies, and we buy a ton of stuff from there every year. I like that they make great products that combine both fun and learning! First of all, this toy is adorable! Just look at it! I love the bright colors and the adorable fish bowl with it's big eyes and smiley face! So cute!

Putting colored fish in and out of this talking fish bowl is a fun way to learn about colors. With two play modes children will learn their colors through a discovery game and a find it game. Requires two AA batteries (included). Ages 2+ years.

This toy has been a lot of fun for my little guy, but it has also been a source of frustration. The fish need to be inserted in one direction only, so getting that through my three year old's head has been a real pain, he just doesn't get it! Thankfully, big brother was able to show him the right way pretty quickly! There are two different ways to play with the Color Fun Fish Bowl. The first way is the mode where the fish bowl asks for a certain color fish, and then you put the right one in. The second mode is where you put a fish in the fish bowl and the fish bowl tells you what color it was. I really like the fact that this toy has two different play modes, it keeps it from getting boring!

I am not really sure if something is wrong with the Color Fun Fish Bowl that we received, like a possible glitch of some sort, but probably about 20 percent of the time, it says the wrong color. Now for us, we have just used this as a learning opportunity. Since my guy already knows his colors, he just says "No funny fish bowl, that is a RED fish!" when the fish bowl gets it wrong. So, for us, this is just another way to reiterate what we have already learned, but I can see how if you have younger kids who don't know their colors yet, this could be very confusing! However, for us,this has been a very fun toy and my little guy is enjoying it a lot! I love toys like this and hope to be able to add more to our collection in the near future! Techno Gears Marble Mania Alpha Construction Set from The Learning Journey Review #Education #Homeschool #MomLife #Review #Blogger

My oldest is definitely a builder. Whether it be Legos or Minecraft or drawing an incredibly cool building on paper, he is all about designing things and putting them together. I love that about him, and I am always trying to find ways to foster that love of learning for him, and help him to continue to grow in his abilities. So, when The Learning Journey asked if we would be interested in reviewing the Techno Gears Marble Mania Alpha Construction Set, we knew that it would be a great asset for our homeschool days, and regular days in general!

First of all, the Techno Gears Marble Mania Construction Sets are amazing! There are a TON of different ones, some a little bit harder, some easier, but all really awesome and fun to build! We received the Alpha set, which is one of the newer sets. Here's the scoop:

The new Alpha set of the Tech Series of Techno Gears Marble Mania will allow your builders to construct a cool marble run. With over 300 pieces including a power lifter, dual marble tracks, electronic light and sound module and spiral tracks, Techno Gears Marble Mania Alpha will keep your young architect busy creating exciting working and moving creations. Requires one AA battery (not included) and three button cell batteries (included). Ages 8+ years

This is the perfect starter set for your little builder! Mine is not quite 8 yet, he will be in a few months, and this has been a really good set for him. He is determined to do it on his own, and besides from asking daddy for help a couple of times, he has done a really great job of working on this set! He's still not completely finished, but he's getting there! Anytime I try to offer help, he says no way, so I guess he's just going to take his sweet time and finish it on his own!

I really like this set, the pieces are all clearly labeled and the directions are easy for a little guy to follow, but still give him plenty of a challenge. The set as a whole is well made, and the pieces feel durable, not flimsy. If you have a builder in your house, I would highly recommend this set, or a similar set. The Learning Journey has tons of different ones so you can pick just the right set! To check them out for yourself, CLICK HERE! Oh, and make sure to follow The Learning Journey International on Facebook and Twitter to keep up with the latest news, deals, products and promotions! Oh, and one more thing! Check out this great video below to see the Alpha Construction Set in action- you're gonna love it!
