Today I am going to share a story that might be kind of disturbing to you guys. It was disturbing for me the first time I heard it. But I think the story has an important message that we need to spread and raise awareness about.

In September 2007, young mother Krista Stryland went in for a liposuction procedure at the Toronto Cosmetic Clinc. She would never return. Turns out, the "surgeon" that performed the procedure on her, was not a surgeon at all. The doctor had no surgical experience, no surgical accreditation. She removed too much fat and fluid from Krista, way more than what is allowed. And, after the procedure, she only spent 30 seconds evaluation Krista's condition before going ahead and moving on to another patient.
Dr. Behnaz Yazdanfar has been stripped of her licence to practise medicine for two years and indefinitely banned from performing surgery on her own following the 2007 death of Krista Stryland

At her hearing, it was noted:

"“She operated on patients who should have had their procedures done in hospital,” the ruling noted. “She did larger operations than she should have done. She discharged patients inappropriately. These errors in judgment spanned her practice and were not isolated events.”

What happened to Krista? She died. What happened to Krista's little boy? He has no mommy. What happened to the doctor? Umm. She was stripped of her medical license for two years.  She can apply for her license to be reinstated after a year, and even then, she can still be a surgical assistant.

Ridiculous.

So, when Krista's friends and families tried to spread the word to warn others about this doctor's actions... Allegedly, the doctor's office revenue plummeted... So what was the doctor's office to do?? They hired someone to HACK sites like Ripoff Report to remove these reports and silence victim's families. I find this to be horrible!

I can't believe that this site and this man would consciously remove the reports that were warning others about this!

I find this very disturbing and I wanted to share this story with others so that you can be informed about this type of hacking and that it does in fact, exist.

Have you ever heard of something like this? Please share in the comments if you have.

Creating A Butterfly Garden

I really like to garden. I don't know what it is, but I really enjoy actually growing something. Mostly in the past, I have grown veggies with some pretty good success, but not so much with flowers and fruits. So, when I recently heard about something called a butterfly garden, I was really intrigued. Seriously, I can bring actual, live, butterflies to my yard, without having to have a beautiful and successful garden? I am totally down for that!

The site that I found to tell me a little bit about this is a butterfly garden blog. I learned that creating a garden that attracts some really beautiful butterflies doesn't have to be expensive or hard! I love that idea!

I am really excited to try to create a butterfly garden this Spring. The plants that you can choose are really varied, but some of the ones that I will probably use are Lilac, Cone Flowers, Parsley, Dill and Mint. I also definitely have to have some Milkweed, since it is considered the favorite plant of the Monarch Butterfly.

I am really excited to create a butterfly garden this Spring, and I am working hard to make a plan on how to go about doing so! I love the idea of attracting  some beautiful butterflies without a ton of work and a ton of money!

Have any of you guys every created a butterfly garden?

If you have, let me know in the comments!

Money, Money, Money.

Everybody is always looking for money.

When money is just in too short of a supply, it is easy to think about getting a loan.

Personally, we are saving up now to save up enough money for a down payment on a  new house.

Then we will have to look into getting a home loan.

I don't really have any clue about loans, but I have been trying to learn.

Pretty much, it confuses me. . Home loans, Personal loans, Payday Loans, etc..

I tried to get some more information about different types of loans, but even THAT was confusing!

I have had a few times that I have needed to get a pay day loan, but that is just about the extent of my loan knowledge.

I found a few websites that gave me a little more information about loans, for example, a great UK PayDay Loans website, so I feel a little more comfortable if I need to get a loan.

What about you guys??

Do you have any experience with PayDay Loans? Personal Loans? Home Loans?

I would love to hear your experiences, just tell me in the comments!

Dyanna Spa NYC: I think I need a trip here!

If I had one day to do whatever I wanted to do (haha, yeah right!) I would probably choose a day at the spa.

I really could use some relaxing and pampering.

I found an awesome spa in NYC called the Dyanna Body and Nail Salon Spa.

Now, I personally will never be able to take a little trip to NYC, especially not just to go to the spa, but I would love to!

The Dyanna Spa looks so beautiful! I love the atmosphere and the interior design there. It seems so peaceful and relaxing.

They have been voted "Best Spa for Bikini Waxing in NYC", "Best Spa For Brazilian Waxing in NYC", and "Best Spa for Overall Waxing in NYC". I mean, really, that is a great thing. Do you have any idea how many places there are for Hair Removal in NYC and Brazilian Waxing in NYC??

I really can't decide what I would do there! I would probably do a little bit of everything!

They have packages for massage, nail, facials, waxing, everything! I could easily spend at least a whole day here!

So, ladies, if you are ever in NYC and looking for a great way to pamper yourself, check out the Dyanna Body and Nail Salon Spa. You will be glad you did!

In the meantime, check out their YouTube channel here:

Okay, nobody likes taxes.

But, really, I hate them.

It seems like every single year, taxes get harder, more complicated, and there are more issues.

For example, this year, my refund is going to be almost a month later than I was promised.

That is not cool, when you have already figured out exactly what to spend your money on, what bills to pay, etc.

I really don't think it matters whether you are filing a Kentucky tax return like me, a Florida tax return, heck, any state at all.

Every single person knows that taxes suck.

Whether you get audited, have your refund delayed, or whatever, there is always something to worry about.

You guys may not know this, but there are actually quite a few free resources online to help you do your taxes correctly and stay out of trouble with the IRS. The IRS website actually has a good bit of information at http://www.irs.gov/efile/ to help people get their taxes taken care of at . The best part is there’s actually a free tax filing option if you meet their requirements. Apparently name brand tax software companies actually offer free tax preparation for certain people.

If you need any other info about taxes and how to get them taken care of I would suggest http://financialplan.about.com/od/taxesandtaxplanning/a/TaxGuide.htm as a fairly good resource for a guide. There’s tons of info for basically any situation you might be in.

What about you guys?

Are you having any tax issues this year?

Elizabeth Anne Shoes: A Purse For Your Feet!

If there are two things that girls love, it would be shoes and purses. So, when I recently heard about a company that combines both, I was really intrigued... Tell me more!

Elizabeth Anne Shoes is the first ever company to design a "purse for your feet"! Their signature product is the "Purse 'N Boots! The Purse 'N Boots has hidden pockets on the inside designed to help store your stuff. The idea is that you can go out on the town, shopping, partying, wherever, and not have to lug a giant purse around with you! I absolutely love this idea!

The pocket functions are amazing! They really have thought of everything! The left boot has a pocket designed specifically to hold an iPhone, Blackberry, etc. The right boot has a little wallet type pocket for cash, credit cards, etc. Love this idea!

And the best part about these shoes? They are cute!! I couldn't believe that they could make something that was so functional, yet also so cute and appealing!

Bottom line! What a cute and ingenious idea! I am really excited to hear about these boots and hopefully I will get to try them one day soon!

Check out Elizabeth Anne Shoes here to see for yourself!

Could Going Dye Free REALLY Be The Thing To Do?

Oh, yall.

It's been a while since I really, REALLY, talked to you guys, and I have so much to talk about.

Things have been bad here. Real Bad.

My sweet little Tater has been having some super bad behavior issues.

I am not sure that I can even adequately describe it to you.

He is like a whole other kid.

Sceaming, Yelling, Hitting, Kicking, Biting.

No listening, defiance, even screaming "I HATE YOU!"

I really have been at the end of my rope lately.

I have become so depressed over all of this. I feel like I am failing him as a mother.

He needs something from me that I am just not giving him, and I don't know what to do.

I have been doing a lot of reading, and I think that we are going to try to eliminate food dyes from our diet.

I really think that this might help.

Does anyone have any advice about this?

Kitchen Blossom for all your Kitchen needs!

If you guys know me, you know I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE kitchen products! I am crazy about all things cooking, even though I am not very good at it! I recently found a new site that I am really crazy about, and I am excited to share it with you guys!

The site that I found is called Kitchen Blossom, and the reason that I like them so much is because they help families. Kitchen Blossom really, really cares about families in need, and they donate 10% of all of their proceeds to a wonderful charity. Casa Por Cristo helps build houses for families in need in South America. If there is something I definitely  feel strongly about, it is making sure that all families have a safe place to call home. I know how important it is to me to have a safe place for my boys, and I believe that everyone deserves that. The truth of the matter is, that not everyone is lucky enough to have that. And, I really love when a company reaches out to others the way that Kitchen Blossom is doing.

The folks at Kitchen Blossom have some great products, like the Breville Juice Fountain Plus. I would love to have one of these bad boys! It even has a separate pulp collector so that the pulp doesn't get into the juice! LOVE that! This is such a wonderful product that any home cook would love to own, and if you are going to buy one, why not buy one from a great place like Kitchen Blossom? Then, it is a win-win! You get a great piece, and you are helping someone in the process! Love it!

Time To Talk About Social Anxiety.

I don't usually like to talk about serious topics, I like to keep things light on the blog.. But sometimes, I feel like we should talk about more serious subjects. Today, that subject is social anxiety. Social anxiety is a condition that affects many people, but not many people like to talk about it.

Most people get nervous when presented with an awkward social situation, but people with social anxiety can actually experience physical symptoms. Sweating, muscle tension, vomiting, heart pounding, etc.

If you are suffering, or know someone who is suffering from social anxiety, I have recently found a great blog with treatment tips and help for others! For example, a recent post on this blog was about the importance of a social anxiety disorder treatment plan. For someone faced with this difficult condition, this blog would really be helpful for them!

The truth is, that social anxiety can be manageable. There are a lot of options for anxiety treatment out there, and don't be afraid to seek help if you need it!

A Balance Bike For Beanie?

Riding a bike is a big deal to a kid. So, yeah, I dropped the ball on this one with Tater. The kid is almost six and still can't ride a bike. He is too sensitive, and every SINGLE time we try to teach him, he gives up and starts crying the first time that he falls down. Sigh.

Now that Beanie is almost two, I have been thinking of getting him a  wooden balance bike to help him start off right. Balance bikes first started out in Europe, but they are getting popular here in the USA. Pretty much, you teach your kid to ride a bike without pedaling first. The balance bikes have no pedals and you just teach your kid to balance and there are no training wheels! This would have been SUCH a good thing for Tater. He is almost six and the only kid on our street who still rides with training wheels. But he refuses to learn.

I love the fact that little Beanie could learn to ride using a balance bike. They can weigh as little as seven pounds, so it wouldn't be too heavy for him to balance. I love the look of the Strider bikes, they really look like "real" big kid bikes, and he could feel right at home playing with his big brother and friends!

I found a great site called Balance Bikes 4 Kids with all kinds of great info about balance bikes and even reviews! I have been reading up and learning all about them! I am thinking of getting him one soon, and when I do, I will update you guys and let you know how it is working out for us!

If you are still in a shopping mood, check out this site if you are in the market for a Radio Flyer Tricycle!
