Holiday Gift Guide: Nicobella Truffles Review and GIVEAWAY!!!

Oh, you guys.. I hope you are ready.. This is a good one.

Nicobella is a company that sells Organic Vegan Dark Chocolates. They specialize in the most amazing truffles ever! The difference is that Nicobella replaces the cream and sugar that is typically used in the filling of the truffles with vegan natural ingredients such as agave nectar or brown rice sryup. And the result is pure bliss!!!

I received a ton of samples of Nicobella's wonderful chocolates to review. They have so many unique flavors, it was hard to choose my favorite! I would have to say that I love the Pumpkin Chai and the Blueberry Almond the best! They also have other great flavors like Ginger Green Tea, Sunflower Banana Butter, Walnut Flaxseed, and Pure Cocoa Bliss. I was a little worried about how the truffles would be, since I don't know much about Vegan or Organic foods. I was afraid they wouldn't taste as good as "regular" chocolates. I am happy to report that I think I honestly like them better than regular chocolates! I am a huge fan of dark chocolate anyway, so these were right up my alley!

Truffles aren't the only thing that Nicobella knows how to do! They also make "munches", which are sooo yummy! My favorite is the Maple Nut Munch, which is dark chocolate, pecans, and sea salt. It is really the best snack I have ever had! They also have Coconut Munch, and also Mama Munch, which was designed with the needs of pregnant women in mind.

From the Nicobella site:

Nicobella Mama Munch is a healthy indulgence made with organic, Fair Trade 72% dark chocolate, candied walnuts and toasted flax seeds, which are naturally rich sources of Omega 3 fatty acids, protein, lignans, antioxidants and fiber. Mama Munch was developed with the special nutritional needs of pregnancy in mind, but can be enjoyed by anyone who would like more Omega 3, fiber and antioxidants in their diet. Mama Munch is a deliciously decadent way to get these essential nutrients.

A big thanks to Nicobella for letting me try your wonderful products!

Holiday Gift Guide: Spoonful Of Comfort Review and GIVEAWAY!

Oh, you guys. This is a good one.

You guys know that Mama is a sucker for a story, and a sucker for food. Deadly combination.

This company has stolen my heart. And wait until you hear what you they do.

They deliver homemade chicken soup. I know, right? What a freakin' brilliant idea.

Read the story about how Spoonful of Comfort was born:

"In October 2007, I received the phone call from my mother that she had been diagnosed with Lung Cancer.

I was shocked, scared and panicked. The hardest part about hearing the news, was that she lived in New Brunswick Canada and I lived in Florida. More difficult still, I had just returned the day before from a trip visiting her. With two young children in school, I couldn't just turn around and go back.

I was so upset and felt helpless being so far away. I needed to "Do Something". I looked into sending flowers or fruit, but nothing seemed appropriate. I wanted to show her how much I cared, and in some way comfort her.

I immediately thought of Chicken soup - it's what she (like many mothers) used to make to comfort me. And the idea for Spoonful of Comfort was born.

Just six weeks later, I lost my mother.

During her final weeks she got lots of soup and other comforts from many of her 11 siblings and close friends. She never had the opportunity to

try "my" soup. However, in her honor, it is my goal to help others with sick loved ones. Whether you have an ailing mother, a child away at college with the flu, or a grandchild with an ear infection, Spoonful of Comfort can help you show that you care.

It is my promise to make and deliver a Spoonful of Comfort to your loved ones with as much care as if I were sending it to my own mother. They'll feel better and so will you."

Okay, I will hang on while you go get a tissue. Are you back yet? Good.

I absolutely LOVE this idea. How nice would it be to send a bowl of homemade soup to someone you love who is going through a rough time, feeling sick, or just having a bad week? This is like the sweetest thing ever!

And y'all, it's good. Really good.... We got to try the Chicken Soup, along with their homemade rolls and Oatmeal Raisin Cookies, and they were all sooo good! Even Tater ate some, and he hates soups of all kinds! :) I love the fact that it is homemade, it feels like someone actually made it just for you. I really love the whole concept of this company, and I am totally ordering from them the next time somebody I love is down in the dumps!

Would you like to try Spoonful of Comfort's soup for yourself?
You don't have to be sick, it's okay ;)

One lucky Flip Out Mama reader will win

A 64 oz. jar of homemade chicken noodle soup
Six made from scratch cookies

Holiday Gift Guide: Oneida Culinaria Dinnerware (Mama's In Love!)

Ohhh, you guys... I am swooning. I wish I had a recent picture of myself swooning, but alas, I do not. So, look at these, and think of me swooning.

Okay, so that last one is a swan, but whatever. You get the point.

I recently got the opportunity to review some extremely gorgeous dinnerware from Oneida. Now, I have heard of Oneida before, but I usually think of them for their beautiful flatware. I was very surprised to learn that they have so much more!
There's the Sassafras line, full of children's baking and cooking products:

And look at these Margarita Glasses! You know Mama likes these ;)

They even have some really gorgeous holiday items!

But anyways, back to the dinnerware. Geez, focus.

Oh, it's so lovely.
That color, in case your wondering, is called Porcini.

Here's what the Oneida website says about the Culinaria line:
A Brilliant Statement. Enhance your table with the Culinaria dinnerware collection, a solid color pattern that has long wearing durability. Circular banding and a Restaurant Rolled Edge line the outer portion of this mid-rim shape, providing a pleasing tactile quality along with easy handling. Culinaria offers a broad color palette, so designing your own custom table presentation will be effortless.
  • Twice fired, Vitrified durable stoneware, glass-like finish
  • Dishwasher and microwave safe
  • Mix and match Culinaria's colors for a unique table presentation
These are by far the best dishes I have ever owned. I love them. Really. The mugs are like twice the size of the cheap crappy mugs of old, and I can actually drink a cup of coffee instead of two sips of coffee. Everything is very heavy, and sturdy. But don't confuse heavy with bulky or clunky, because that they are not.I haven't used them very much yet, but I washed them all, and I have made a couple of meals on them, and drank a few cups of coffee. And, so far, no chips or cracks. They are holding up very well, just as I suspected!  I also love the Porcini color. I was worried that it would be too bland, but it is perfect! I have never really paid attention to the color of my dishes, I mean along the lines of food presentation and such, but since I have been using these, I have noticed that my food just plain looks better on them. And that is a definite plus for this mama! My food needs all the help it can get! I know that this set will last a long time. I am so excited to get rid of our crappy old dinnerware, a $10 clearance Walmart set, and replace it with this set! There is also a square version available, which is every bit as gorgeous as the round:
I'm trying really hard not to be biased though, so I want to make sure you guys get to see all the colors of the Culinaria line:
ala mode
blue peppercorn

blue sage

chili

cocoa

pound cake

tarragon

Aren't they all so pretty!?
A BIG thanks to Oneida for letting my try this wonderful dinnerware set!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving to all my bloggy friends! I hope you guys all have a great day!

I am thankful for each and every one of you!

Love you all!

Holiday Gift Guide: Imagination Box Company

It's a fact that every parent knows to be true. No matter what gift is inside, 9 times out of 10, your little one is going to end up playing with, none other than the box! I must admit that most of my favorite childhood memories, are of playing with this giant refrigerator box that was in our basement. Ahh, good times!
Imagination Box Company is bringing back those good times with their 100% recyclable toys. They have several different toys to choose from, from a barn to a castle tower, even a schoolhouse or a cottage.

All of Imagination Box Company's toys are American Made green toys. The toys are printed inside and out with designs hand drawn by the company owners. The toys are paintable, and each come with their own set of washable, non toxic paints. You can also use markers, stickers or crayons, whatever you prefer. Imagination Box Company's toys are great for playing alone or with a group!

We received the schoolhouse to review. This was a perfect choice since Tater is Oh So Obsessed with school lately!
The schoolhouse is adorable! It even has a recycling center!
How cute is that?!?!

We haven't painted our house yet. We are waiting until after Thanksgiving, and after Tater gets rid of some of his old toys to get ready for Christmas. I must admit, the giant schoolhouse on top of the fridge has been a great motivator for him lol!!! He has been as good as gold so he doesn't mess up his chance of getting to paint "a whole entire school" as he said! :) I am also pretty excited to paint this little cutie, and I think he will really have fun with it after it is decorated too. He has a bunch of "little guys", ( I actually think they are like Weebles or something) that will be perfect to play in here! Even though we haven't painted our schoolhouse yet, I wanted you guys to see some pictures of a finished one!

Don't you just love it!?

I also love the entire concept of Imagination Box Company. Kim and Russ Cash created their company as a way to provide creative, eco friendly, recyclable toys for their children. They toys were such a hit with everyone, Imagination Box Company was born! I also love the fact that their toys are assembled by Panhandle Special Needs, Inc., which is an organization in their hometown which helps teach people with special needs valuable skills.

I love that Kim and Russ are so environmentally conscious! They live in a Yurt in northern Idaho where they use solar power, and live a sustainable lifestyle! I love their whole outlook and feel great supporting such a responsible company!

Thanks again to Kim and Russ at Imagination Box Company for the opportunity to review one of their products! And, check back after Turkey day for some pics of our completed schoolhouse!

Holiday Gift Guide: Zippo Candle Lighters (perfect stocking stuffer!)

You guys know about my obsession with candles. I love, love, LOVE candles, and they are always on my Christmas list. However, that also means that I have probably, no exaggeration, 15 candles sitting around that are almost, but not quite, burned up. I can not get my fat ass hand down inside the candle with a lighter, and if I do, then my hand comes out covered in black soot, and I still can't get the candle lit. But, I just can't bring myself to throw them away, because I love them so, and I know they still have a lot of life left in them.

Enter my new fave stocking stuffer.

These, ladies and gentlemen of the jury, (I have just always wanted to say that in conversation okay?), are Zippo Candle Lighters. Aren't they pretty? Collective Ooohs and Ahhhhs, now!

I was pretty pumped to try out the Zippo Candle Lighter, and good thing, because it arrived super fast, and cute too! Look at this adorable package!
It's already ready for gift giving!!!

The Zippo Candle Lighter features:
  • 7 Unique Styles Perfect For Any Room or Occasion
  • Zippo Lifetime Guarantee
  • Sleek Ergonomic Design
  • Patented child safety button
  • Fuel-level Indicator
  • Adjustable Flame Dial
I love the fact that they come in different styles. I am a sucker for anything that is "unique" or "personal" anyways, so these really did me in! They have a variety of classic colors, or you can choose from Asian Floral, Snowflake, Cheetah, or Patriotic.
I received the snowflake to review, and I absolutely love it! I have been spending the last week or so using up all my "remants" from old candles, and preparing for the new holiday stash that is sure to come! I definitely recommend the Zippo Candle Lighter as a part of your Holiday arsenal of helpful products, or if you're like me, for everyday use!

Thanks Zippo for letting me try this great product!
