Is this a trick question? It reminds me of a contest I won when I was about 17 yrs old. The local rock radio station sponsored a contest and the winners got to go to a roller coaster preview party at Kings Island (they had just unveiled The Beast). They said to send a postcard and tell them, "what brings out the beast" in you? My mind went straight to the gutter naturally, and I scribbled on a card, "what brings out the beast in me? Ted Nugent - wearing only a loin cloth!" - - As I dropped it in the mailbox, I smiled at myself, as I thought this was a perfect and creative answer and surely I would win the Kings Island tickets. Fast forward 2 days: The radio station starts reading answers on the air that other people submitted, and they were all very innocent and lame, things like "Traffic on Nicholasville Rd at 5:00 o'clock" - - or "My kids, when they start screaming" - - it quickly dawned on me that I had interpreted this question much differently than others!! I wanted to go get my post card back because now I was totally embarrassed! The following day they read mine. Friends all over town heard it. They called. They laughed. And thank goodness, I set a trend. Other people started to send in answers that were somewhat naughty, thank God. I won the tickets. Had a great time.

What was your question? Stress. Lost my job a year and a half ago. Unemployment is about to run out. That stresses me.

P.S. I remember Tiger Balm from the old days, around the same time as my Kings Island trip to ride The Beast. I would love to win.

  5. I got accused of "threat of violence" Company was going to fire me. Wife is on disability, and my insurance is all that keeps her out of the long term care home. I filed a grievance and was not terminated. the stress of that 8 weeks in "active suspension" nearly killed me. Major stress was not letting wife know that I was so scared about losing job. we had just bought a new house so all these things piling up... I could not sleep and had serious digestion problems. Then add on the holidays and in-laws visiting. I survived this hell and am back on track, but we are 1 paycheck away from homeless. Yeah I got stress

  14. Right now I am stressed out about everything it seems. Work, bills, hubby out of work, mother with breast cancer. It takes all I have to get out of bed and go to work. I think this is really more depression than stress.

  16. Traveling, though I love it, makes me stressed. Even leisure travel! And all the usual stuff - traffic, finances, fighting with my darling husband... and routine stuff like daily meals. When I was single I'd just crack open a can of Spaghettios, but my guy likes to eat! We share the responsibility but end up eating out way too often, which just adds to financial stress. Thankfully I have lots of non-stressful things in my life, too - a bathtub, four cats, and regular naps. :)
