Okay people, I have to say, my skincare and shaving routine is pretty minimal. I use cheap razors, I shave with the wife's shaving cream, and I don't use after shave. I always thought that was good enough. The wife is always on my butt about getting the "right stuff" for shaving, but I have never really thought it was a big deal. Until now.
We got some great Aveeno Men's products in the mail a few days ago, and I thought I would give them a try! I have heard of Aveeno in the past, mostly for baby rash stuff that we have bought for the boys, so I had heard of the brand before, but I didn't know they made shaving stuff too. So, I gave it a shot!
The shaving gel was really great! I used my same old crappy razor, but I could really tell a difference when using the Aveeno shave gel. My wife says when I get a better razor, I will be able to tell even more. I also gave the after shave a chance. I have never used after shave, since I always thought it was alcohol-y and burn-y. This stuff was fine, no burning, no smell, no stinging! It was great!
I have to say that I am proud of the job that the Aveeno shaving products and skincare products have done on my skin, and I am going to keep using them in the future! Thanks Aveeno for giving me the chance to try something that I otherwise wouldn't have tried!

I don't get to spend nearly enough time with my hubby. He is always working,and the boys are always right there in the middle driving us nuts. So, this year, for Father's Day, I was happy to sneak away, leave the boys at my sisters for a couple of hours, and head over to Longhorn Steakhouse to take my man on a "Steakcation"! We never get a chance to eat at a restaurant that doesn't have a drive thru, so this was a great opportunity for us to get some good food and spend some much needed quality time together! Plus, it was a chance for him to put down his tongs and get away from the grill, and let somebody else take care of the grilling for a change!
We headed over to our local Longhorn Steakhouse on a Tuesday at around 4pm, and the place was completely empty! It was a great idea to get there before the dinner crowd, and it was like our own private restaurant! Talk about feeling like a VIP! We were even there a little bit early to get some of the dinner options that we wanted, but the staff was wonderfully accommodating, and got us exactly what we wanted, even though we were a bit early.
My hubs got his very favorite, the Prime Rib, loaded baked potato, and salad. I got a wonderful New York Strip and baked potato, and it was great! I really enjoyed the honey wheat bread that we got to snack on while we waited for our food. We were planning on getting a dessert too, but after we ate, we were soooo stuffed! The food was great, and I loved the atmosphere at Longhorn Steakhouse. I think it was a perfect place to treat my guy for Father's Day,and I think that you should too!
