Yummy Yummy Goodies from Gooseberry Patch! 101 Hearty Recipes Cookbook Review!

I love cookbooks. This is no secret, and it is probably one of my biggest weaknesses. I love buying cookbooks, browsing through them, marking recipes I want to make. And Never. Making. Them. That is my one problem with my cookbook obsession. I never really make the recipes. They are usually just recipes that I don't want to make, or things that I think that my family wouldn't really enjoy!

Enter my wonderful friends at Gooseberry Patch! I absolutely LOVE their cookbooks. I was given one of their Christmas cookbooks when I moved into my first apartment as a gift, and I have loved their cookbooks ever since! I was lucky enough to get to review a copy of 101 Hearty Recipes from Gooseberry Patch! This is a wonderful cookbook! I love love LOVE the fact that each recipe has a picture of the finished dish! Seriously, sometimes the difference between me making a new dish or not will be if it has a picture or not. Stupid, I know, but true! I also love the fact that this cookbook is spiral bound. That means I can fold it over and lay it on the counter while cooking and not lose my place! 

There are so many great recipes in this book! I love the fact that Gooseberry Patch recipes are recipes I would actually cook at home, recipes that look delicious, and most importantly, recipes that my family would eat! They are all really down home, hearty recipes that I know will fill my family up and put a smile on their face! I am really happy that we got to try out some of the recipes in this book! 

A few of our favorites were: 

Nacho Chicken Dip (great for parties/ potlucks!) 

Cornbread Chicken Pot Pie (So yummy, and tastes like a grandma would make!) 

Slow Cooker Turkey Breast (the only way I will cook a turkey from now on!) 

Golden Parmesan Roasted Potatoes (SO yummy and much better than fries!) 

Monster Bars (Perfect dessert for moms of boys!) 

Look at this cake! Oh my goodness!

I am going to have to upload some pictures soon of some of the yummy recipes that we made! I always forget pictures until it's too late and my beautiful dish is on a plate and half eaten!
