Online Shopping: Friend Or Foe?

Before I had the boys, I really enjoyed shopping. I would drive around from store to store, and browse aimlessly through aisles and aisles of whatever. Sometimes I would buy stuff, sometimes not, but I really just enjoyed the browsing, the digging around, the finding a deal or a great buy every once in awhile.

And then I had kids.

Now, shopping makes me want to hurl. I hate going to the grocery, and no matter the amount of planning that I put in, the menu plan, the coupon clipping, the list, and then the revised list (with everything in order of the aisle it is found in), the snacks for The Bean, the bribes, it just doesn't matter. Shopping ends with at least two family members in tears.

Enter the internet. (Couldn't resist.)

Of all the things I love about the WWW, I would have to say that online shopping is probably one of my favorites. Sit on the couch with jammies on, no bra, no makeup, click the mouse, and bam! It's done. Well, not grocery shopping entirely, but pretty much anything else you can think of!

I decided to use Bing to search online and see just how many of the usual things I hate shopping for that I could buy online.

The first stop? I search for groceries. And lo and behold, I am immediatley presented with an online grocery that delivers to your door. I really didn't even know that was possible out here in the sticks. And you wanna know the best part? The first three items on their site were significantly cheaper than what I pay each week at the grocery! I was in shock!

Next up? Diapers! Bing actually has a feature on the shopping tab that made it super easy to see where to order and get the best deal! I love that! They also have this really cool feature called Social Share, which uses social networking to get input on your purchases from family and friends! How cool is that?

Of course, clothes shopping online is probably one of my favorite things! You can get some great deals on kid's clothes by searching with Bing and shopping online. All of my favorite stores: Target, Old Navy, Kohls, and Children's Place were right at my fingertips!

I must admit, I would never leave the house to shop if it were up to me! I am really excited that I found that awesome online grocery store, I am going to be all over that soon!

The internet has made it so easy for hermits like me to never leave home and still be able to have everything we want and need! Thanks to wonderful online retailers and great search engines like Bing, anything you could possibly want is just a click away!
