Clairol Color Blend Foam= Home Hair Color LOVE!

As a girl who colors her hair at home quite a bit, I am always on the lookout for products to make this painstaking process faster, or easier. I have to give super props to Clairol for coming out with this awesome Color Blend Foam!

I was excited to see exactly how it worked, so I checked out this great video from Clairol! Go watch it, but don't forget to come back! ;)

I was really excited to try this Color Foam out, not only since it looks super easy, but also since I have been in desperate need of coloring my hair. I don't understand how once you become a mom, the simplest thing becomes next to impossible!

Just like the video suggests, the foam was really easy to use. I really like that it mixes so easily, you only have to shake it like three times. I also really like that there was no dripping all over my shirt, towels, floor etc! I was super impressed with the Clairol Color Foam, and I have to say, I think it will be my new go- to hair color from now on!

I also got the chance to get some great Color Tips from Clairol's Color Director, Marie Robinson. Marie is a renowned hair stylist with a long list of celeb clients including Anne Hathaway, Heather Graham, Liv Tyler, Natalie Portman, Kristen Stewart and many more! I was super excited to get hair color tips straight from her!

Some of the best tips from Marie:
  • Always prep your bathroom with old towels prior to beginning to color your hair!
  • Make sure to opt for a permanent hair color if you are looking for a dramatic change, and a semi-permanent color for a less drastic change. Semi permanent colors typically wash out within a month.
  • Decide which form of color you feel most comfortable with: liquid, creme, or foam. Don't use one that you are not comfortable with.
  • For best results, stay within two shades of your natural hair color.
  • It is always best to color hair that was washed the previous day.
  • Rub Vaseline around your hairline to prevent staining on your skin.
  • Part your hair into three, even sections. Start with the roots, and then work through to the ends.
  • When rinsing color out, use your fingertips to massage roots, and use warm water until the water runs clear.
  • To keep your color treated hair looking its best, always use a color safe shampoo and conditioner, heat protection spray when styling, and reduce exposure to the sun and chlorinated water. It is also helpful to use a weekly deep conditioner.

I will be posting the pics from my hair color adventure soon, so stay tuned! In the meantime, if you are looking for a new and improved way to color, try Clairol Color Blend Foam! You won't be disappointed!
