Stocking Stuffer Roundup!

You guys already know how obsessed I am with stocking stuffers, they are seriously my favorite part of Christmas! I love that you can get creative with stocking stuffers, throwing things in there that are super unexpected and sometimes a little wacky. I love to individually wrap stocking stuffers too! It just really adds to the whole surprise atmosphere, and prolongs the gift opening, which I love. I have even been known to wrap up stocking stuffers and hide them in the tree! Sometimes we don't even find them until we are taking the tree back down! Here are a few of my top picks for awesome stocking stuffers this week! Check back next week for even more!

I have always been a huge fan of Oriental Trading. I remember when I was a kid, I would lay on the porch with a permanent marker and the OTC catalog and circle all of my favorite things. They have always been one of my favorite companies,and one of my favorite parts of being a blogger is getting to work with them! We buy a ton of homeschool stuff from Oriental Trading, because they have the best prices and I feel like I get the most bang for my buck when I shop with them. I guess you can say that Oriental Trading Company and I have a history together. So, it's no surprise that when it was time to shop for stocking stuffers this year, I turned straight to them!

Is your thing art supplies or school stuff? No problem. Toys or games more your style? They've got that too. I love to fill our kids' stockings with a ton of different stuff... My boys are obsessed with Ninja Turtles right now, so I picked up some Ninja Turtle stickers for their stockings too :) I am a sucker for a cute rubber duck, so we picked up a bunch of those, and some mini springs to go in our stockings too! I can't wait to fill them! (Disclaimer: There may or MAY NOT have been another bag of candy... or two... that isn't going to make it til Christmas Eve... Hey, I need my chocolate therapy, y'all!)

As if that wasn't enough, Oriental Trading has SO much more than just stocking stuffers! I also was lucky enough to pick up these adorable black bear ornaments! 

I am super obsessed with black bears, since they remind me of the Smoky Mountains! These adorable bears come in a set of twelve, and I love seeing them all on my tree! They are so cute! 

I also was lucky enough to pick up this adorable Santa chimney countdown calendar! I love it! It has 25 little pegs, and you pull one out every day until Christmas. As you pull the pegs out each day, Santa drops further and further down the chimney! I love this thing, and my boys are so excited to start pulling the pegs out on December 1st! 

As you can see, Oriental Trading really does have anything that you might need for the holidays! We've talked a little bit before about how my Tater is growing up to be such an artistic and creative guy. I am so glad, because I am NOT creative in the least bit. If it weren't for Pinterest, I would have never made a craft or even a recipe that wasn't from a box! However, Tater is really into all sorts of art, so Crayola is one of the most common brands that you will find in our house! So when we got a chance to check out the Crayola See-Thru Light Designer, we were definitely up for the challenge! 

Tater has had his eye on this at the store for awhile now, so you can imagine how excited he was when it arrived! This is a really cool kit, I've really never seen anything like it! Here's a little more info: 

Create and animate your world with the See Thru Light Designer! Use the reusable transparent panels to create cool, light-up art that you can bring to life with 7 different light effect combinations. Then, place your favorite toys, pictures or people behind the panels to mix the world around you with your animated creations! Include 2 removable panel and 4 markers. This toy has kept my big guy busy for hours so far, with no end in sight! He is thrilled with a new "tool" to help him be creative, and I am happy for such a cool toy too! I love that the markers are able to be stored inside the light designer, so we don't have to worry about them getting lost. My guy loves to draw, so I don't see this toy losing it's appeal anytime soon! We really like how the neon gel markers light up. It almost looks like a neon sign, which is pretty cool! I also love that it is portable and easy to carry, and I don't have to constantly say "put that down!" like I do with every other toy LOL! Oh, and there are some great templates that you can download from the Crayola website! 

Overall, this is a really cool toy. It does go through the batteries pretty fast, but if you are like us, you already have a hoard of AA batteries in your house with Christmas fast approaching. My guys both really liked this toy, and their favorite thing to do was to make faces like you see on the front of the box. They also have been making little videos using their action figures and the light designer, which I thought was pretty cool and creative.
