The Sleepy Bear is the first ever toy designed to promote babywearing. It's made from soft organic cotton, and has no buttons, snaps or removable parts. I love that it's safe for my babies! I think the Bean is a little small for it still, but this will definitely be his first Teddy Bear! It is so soft, and absolutely adorable! I haven't even given it to Beanie yet, but several people have noticed it sitting on the shelf and have wanted to know where it came from!

What does the term "Kangaroo Care" mean?
ReplyDeleteThis is the term coined when a mother holds or wraps her premature baby skin to skin on her chest. Instead of constant care in an incubator more and more doctors are encouraging mothers to wear their tiny infants (such as in the Sleepy Wrap Upright Newborn/Infant Hold). These babies thrive with access to food, warmth and the familiar environment of the womb.
