Royal Rumble 2025 Experience Indianapolis Indiana (WWE Indianapolis IN)

So, last weekend, my boys and I had the opportunity to check a really big item off of our bucket list. We were lucky enough to head a few hours up the road to Indianapolis to the 2025 WWE Royal Rumble. Now, this is something that we have wanted to do for YEARS, and I can't believe we finally got the chance to do this! Now, this review is going to be about our Royal Rumble trip and experience, and not the actual show itself. (That review will come later!)

So, coming from Central Kentucky, it wasn't a bad trip at all. I HATE driving the interstate, so we took back roads the whole way, and it was about a four and a half hour trip. Could we have gotten there faster? Definitely, but I really enjoy driving back roads, small towns, etc, and we had a great trip. We left really super early on Saturday morning, about 4am. The drive was great, the roads were straight and completely empty, and we passed through some really cute small towns. Highly recommend driving the back roads from KY to Indy!

Being completely honest, the part of the trip I was the most nervous about was the drive into the "big city" of Indy. I get pretty scared driving in big cities, so I was really working myself up about getting into downtown. As we approached downtown Indy, I was really surprised at how spread out everything was. For the most part, there were tons of little "pockets" on the outskirts of the city with restaurants, hotels, shopping etc. The actual downtown Indy is just a few blocks, and it was literally a straight shot to our hotel, which was just a couple of blocks into downtown.

We stayed at the Hilton Indianapolis Downtown, and we had a really great experience. We got to Indy about 9:30 am. Check in at our hotel wasn't until 4pm, and I wasn't sure if early check in was going to be possible, so I tried to plan ahead. I used the SpotHero app to reserve a parking spot in the same parking garage as our hotel parking garage. we were buzzing before we even got to the arena. Walking in and seeing that massive stage set up for the Rumble gave us goosebumps. The energy in the crowd was insane the kind of thing you can’t feel through a TV screen no matter how loud you turn it up.

The entrances, the surprise returns, the chaos of thirty people in the ring at once — it was pure wrestling magic. We screamed, we laughed, we lost our voices. And when the winner’s music hit, the place absolutely shook.

By the time we made it back to the hotel, we were exhausted in the best way. It wasn’t just about watching the matches; it was about making memories together, surrounded by thousands of people who love wrestling just as much as we do.

Royal Rumble weekend? 10/10. Would do it again in a heartbeat.
