Kid-Friendly Places To Travel To In Europe

Travel is one of the most rewarding experiences you can give your kids, and Europe one of the best
places where you can do that! Here are some of the very best family-friendly places you should cross
off your bucket list before they're all grown up.

London, England

England is such an obvious choice for European travel and for a good reason! International flights to
London are amongst the most frequent, and so many of the must-see things for you and your kids are
right there in the capital. Madame Tussauds, The London Dungeon, and the Harry Potter tour are
some obvious choices. There's also all the more typical tourist attractions like Big Ben and the London
Eye, all within easy reach. And if you need a break from all that running around, London has some of
the most beautiful parks for you to relax in. Regents Park and Green Park are top on our list; what
about yours?

Munich, Germany

There are so many beautiful places to visit in Germany! Munich is a great place to start with kids, for
its Toy Museum in the Old Town Hall, the interactive toy shop Obletter Spielwarne where they can
play for hours, and the 90 acres of Tierpark Hellabrunn, the Munich Zoo. Munich is also home to
Neuschwanstein Castle which is said to be the inspiration behind Disney's Sleeping Beauty; perfect
for any little princesses in your life! The Glockenspiel at Marienplatz is a huge draw for anyone young
and old. Twice a day visitors gather to watch as 32 life-sized figures reenact historical events. You will
likely hear English everywhere, but a little German won't do you any harm before you travel. You could
use fun apps like Duolingo, Memrise, or FluentU to help engage your children. A fun way to prepare
for your vacation as a family, perhaps?

Rome, Italy

For starters, where else in the world are you going to get the best pizza and gelato than Italy? But
when you've finished stuffing your faces there are so many things in Rome for you to see and do.
The Colosseum is where you should head first, packed with history, culture, and some of the best
selfie opportunities around. There are also walking and tasting tours, gladiator schools for
reenactments, and the Vatican museums, crypts, and chapels for you to explore. And if you work up
a sugar high with all that gelato you can always climb the Spanish Steps. Guaranteed to wear anyone
out!

Paris, France

Not just a city for those with romance on their minds! Paris is a perfect destination to share with your
kids. There are the must-see tourist attractions like the Eiffel Tower and Arc de Triomphe, the Nature
History Museum and the Louvre that are educational as well as being fun, and tasty treats in
patisseries and boulangeries everywhere you look to keep you going for all that exploring! The
Luxembourg Gardens are beautiful, with lots of great places for family picnics and a huge playground
for kids to play in. And if amusement parks are your thing then Jardin D’Acclimatation is definitely
worth a visit. French just happens to be one of the most popular languages to learn in the world,
so if you decide to brush up on the basics before taking your vacation, you might want to try websites
like French Podcast, Listen&Learn, or Rosetta stone to make your family adventures even more
exciting!

Where do you want to head first?
