I've talked to you guys before about the ups and downs of buying my own property, and whether or not at age 30 I was really ready or not.. I'm still on the fence about whether or not I was really ready, but the deed is done, so I guess it's time to put on my big girl panties and be a grown up homeowner! Now that we are getting into winter, I am starting to think about stuff like snow removal, winterizing, and getting a tree trimming service.
A few years ago, we had a giant ice storm, and we ended up with trees down everywhere. Now, at the time, I was just a renter, so I really didn't have anything to worry about, but now that I own my home, I am really thinking about these kinds of things. It's crazy how different your outlook becomes on things as your life begins to change.
So, guys, do any of you have any tips for me about how to prepare my home for winter? This is my first winter season as a homeowner, and I can't just pick up the phone and say "Emergency! Landlord help me!" anymore.. Leave me your advice below, I'd love to hear it!
