Review: Yanni Touch Of Truth Album!

Okay guys, so I know this typically isn't my style, but when I got the chance to review the new Yanni album, "Touch Of Truth", I thought it would be a good opportunity for me to branch out and try a new style of music that is out of my typical comfort zone.

I was really surprised that I actually enjoyed this album! It has a great peaceful sound, and I really enjoyed listening to it in the background while I worked on blog stuff. It actually helped me focus, much more than the TV that is usually on during the day when I am working!

A great added benefit of this album is that it is the perfect addition to the boys' bedtime routine! They love to listen to music when they are falling asleep, and we usually just turn on the radio for them. Both of them absolutely loved the Yanni album!

There are fifteen tracks on this album, Yanni's first new album in eight years! He really had a good time putting together this album as well.. here is what he had to say about it:

“I work the rhythms in this album,” explains Yanni about the new material. “There is a beautiful complexity in these rhythms, a new sound design. I think the melodic content is very strong and very memorable. I was having fun with this album and that’s going to become apparent.”
If you are looking for a peaceful, soothing album to listen to in your home, I totally recommend giving this one a shot, even if you don't think it's something you would be interested in! You might just be surprised!
And, while you're at it, check out Yanni's new World Tour that he is doing to promote his new album!

disclosure: I received a copy of the album to review through One 2 One Network. No financial compensation was received, although I am entered into a contest through One 2 One for posting this. All opinions are my own.
