Resolutions Have Gone To The Dogs Thanks To Milk-Bone! #MilkBone #DogMommy #Review

I can't believe it's already 2016, and that means it's time to make some resolutions about all the things we want to accomplish this year! For me, the list is always a mile long, and this year is no different. In fact, this year, I have more resolutions than ever because now we have Lucy, our six month old German Shepherd. There are so many plans we have for her and so many things we want to work on with her! Milk-Bone knows that pet parents are especially ready to make some "Ruff-olutions" this year. The folks at Milk-Bone surveyed 3000 "pet parents" and found that when it comes to making resolutions for our furry friends, we are definitely not alone!

When it comes to us and our Lucy girl, we have many of the same goals as other pet parents. We really want to take her to dog training classes, master the potty training thing, and basically help her to grow up as healthy as possible. We have a long way to go, since she is just a pup, and is still just learning everything right along with us! However, she is a very smart girl, and I know that we are going to have lots of success working with her on our goals!
Thanks to our friends at Milk-Bone, we got to check out an awesome Doggy Dental and Wellness Kit, which includes tons of great stuff to help keep Lucy happy and healthy! We really liked the Milk-Bone Brushing Chews  as well as the Good Morning Daily Vitamin Treats! I really do feel like we are well on our way to raising a happy, healthy dog, thanks to our good friends at #Milk-Bone!
What about you guys? Do you have any New Year's "Ruff-olutions" planned for your pet? I'd love to hear about them!! Share them below in the comments section, and we can help keep each other motivated for a great New Year!

The Best Place To Buy A Car In Kentucky (I'm Not Kidding!) #TimShort #ChevyDealer #KyChevy #CarBuying

Hey Guys! It's been awhile, can y'all believe it is 2016? What the hell happened? I really have no idea, I still feel like I am getting ready for Thanksgiving LOL. So much has happened in the last few months, I feel like I haven't had time to catch my breath at all. Most of you know that the last year or two of my life has been a crazy effed up whirlwind, but these past few months have been just as nuts. Finally, though, it seems like things might actually be calming down, so I'm really hoping for 2016 to be a great year for us.

Let me tell you guys a good story. I'm not sure how many of you guys know this, but buying a car has always been one of my biggest fears. I have stuck with crappy Buy Here Pay Here cars for the entirety of my car buying life, and the experience has always been less than stellar. So, a few weeks ago, after another harrowing near death experience (and I'm only kind of exaggerating here!) with my 13 year old buy here pay here beauty, we decided it was time to buy a car.  (Now, for those of you that have been following along, Mountain Man and I have not been dating all that long, this time around at least, so I was pretty pumped to jump on the "super commitment buying a car bandwagon" to say the least!)

Long story very, very short. We spent a whole day (as in 7+ hours), at a horrible car lot with super high pressure salesmen, where we were forgotten about, lied to, and backed into a corner, ending up with a car that we weren't too sure about, and a whole lotta headache. It was a pretty shitty experience all in all, and left both of us with a bad taste in our mouth. I may have never bought a car before, but I was pretty sure that was not how it was supposed to be. Fast forward to a couple days later, when I start getting alerts on my credit report that their were 20+ hard credit inquiries on my credit going on at that very moment. Freaking out, I called the dealership, only to be informed that our loan was not approved, and now they were running our credit through every bank known to man in order to find someone to approve our loan, at a higher payment and interest rate than what we previously agreed upon, of course. It was probably one of the worst experiences of my life to date, and after a lot of back and forth bickering, we decided our best option was simply to return the car and start from square one again.

That's where one of the crappiest experiences of my life turns into one of the all around best experiences of my life. Just on a whim, we called a dealership in Winchester, Kentucky, just up the road from where Mountain Man works and my *one day future to be* in laws live. We explained the whole situation to Ronnie at Tim Short Chevrolet  Buick GMC, and we had an appointment to meet him in no time. (I'm not kidding, I actually had to drop the kids off and move my ass to get there on time, that is how fast he was ready and willing to help us!) He was so nice over the phone, talking us through our whole less than ideal situation, and helping us decide what to do. He basically really calmed us down and told us he could help, and that was before we ever got there.

From the moment we walked in the door, everything about the whole car buying process at this dealership was as different as night and day. There was no pressure, there were no long speeches or drawn out explanations. Everything was explained to us up front, and I totally felt like we were in control the entire time. Instead of being presented with two or three cars that we could choose from, Ronnie told us to pick anything we wanted to look at, and he would make it happen. He wasn't lying either. And when our late afternoon appointment lasted through the evening, and even up into what you could call "night time", everyone else went home and Ronnie and a few other guys stayed and helped us get our situation straightened out.

What we ended up with is nothing short of amazing. We walked in the door with nothing, no car, just a lot of disappointment and discouragement, and we left with a beautiful 2015 Chevy Cruze, just what we wanted but never imagined we could get. I walked in the door in tears, and left laughing so hard I thought I would pee my pants. Best of all, we walked in as strangers, and I really and honestly feel like we left as friends. I know that sounds cheesy as hell, but I am not kidding. I didn't know that the whole car buying experience could be as pleasant and even enjoyable as it was at Tim Short Chevrolet. If you are looking to buy a car, I really highly recommend that you give these guys a shot. It doesn't even matter if you are local to the Winchester/Lexington area or not, they sell cars all over Kentucky, and can even get you a car if you are out of state! I'm telling you guys, I didn't think it could be done, I thought we were screwed and were going to end up without a vehicle period, but these folks really came through for us and really helped us out when we needed it!
