Holiday Gift Guide: Belli Skincare!
Do you have an expecting or nursing mom on your list this year? If so, give her the gift of safe and healthy skincare from Belli, a company whose sole focus is skincare products for women who are expecting, nursing and beyond!
A skin care company that obsesses more than most about the purity and safety of its ingredient. Belli’s facial and body care products were originally formulated for expecting or nursing mothers, so they undergo intensive screening to make sure no ingredients have any links whatsoever to birth defects or other problems of pregnancy. Naturally that also makes them great for anyone who prizes peace-of-mind and glowing, healthy skin. Every ingredient in every Belli product is teratology screened, or studied for even the remotest links to problems of pregnancy or birth defects. All of the products are also allergy tested, free of parabens, BPA, phthalates and artificial dyes. And new tubes and airless pumps are also BPA and phthalate-free. Bellis is the purist’s purist, and that’s great news for anyone who likes to know exactly what ingredients their skin may absorb.
I absolutely love, love, LOVE the idea behind this company! While my pregnant and nursing days are long behind me now, I remember very well the fear of putting something on (or in!) your body that would potentially hurt your baby. All of Belli's products are completely safe for pregnant and nursing women, so you don't have to worry about any of the ingredients. They are also all OBGYN and dermatologist recommended, which gives a little extra peace of mind.
We got a chance to check out the PREP Fresh Start Pre-Treatment Scrub, as well as the Anti Blemish Facial Wash, and I really loved both products! The scrub contains both green tea and ginseng, as well as peppermint oil, which are all invigorating and energizing for the skin. This product smells great and is very gentle, yet effective on the skin. The facial wash is great as well, and contains no salicylic acid, glycolic acid, and benzoyl peroxide-- common acne fighting ingredients that should be avoided during pregnancy. It does however have lemon peel oil, which I absolutely love. I am not pregnant, but I have some acne issues going on lately, and I must say I really liked using this facial wash. I can totally tell a difference in my face, and I am now hooked on Belli! To check them out for yourself, visit: http://www.belliskincare.com/.
