Book Review: Stress Free Kids by Lori Lite

I received a copy of this book in exchange for review, however, all opinions and thoughts are my own.

I recently got the chance to check out a really great book, and I am excited to tell you guys about it! The book is called: "Stress Free Kids: A Parent's Guide to Helping Build Self-Esteem, Manage Stress, and Reduce Anxiety in Children", and it's written by Lori Lite, the founder of Stress Free Kids. I was really excited to check out this book, because I have a "stresser" on my hands, when it comes to my big guy. He's a lot like me, we worry and stress and have lots of anxiety over lots of different things. I really try very hard not to let it show and not to let it pass on to him, but I do sometimes. I am always looking for ways to help him (and me too!), so I was excited to check out this book.

This book has been a really great asset to me as a parent. It has taught me many different tools and exercises to help deal with both of my boys' stress. I like that the book is straightforward and easy to understand, and I also appreciate that it doesn't shame parents. Often, when I read a parenting book, I end up feeling really bad about myself and really guilty for not doing everything that the book says already. This book doesn't do that, and I really like that.

I really like Lori Lite and her approaches to parenting and helping kids. She developed the Stress Free Kids curriculum to help her own kids deal with stress. I have to say that this book has really helped us. My oldest especially has really improved his angry outbursts, and I can tell that he is remembering what to do when he gets upset or stressed out. We do still have a lot of work to do and a long way to go to be able to deal with our stress in a healthy way. I am not saying that everything is completely better, but we are on the right track!

I like that now that I have read this book, I have a real, solid idea of what I SHOULD be doing differently. I feel much better and much more optimistic about the way things are going in my household, and I am very grateful to Lori Lite for this book and all the great options that it has given me!
